Music
In October 2019, "Bottle Makes Three" was released by the modern folk duo Borr McFerrin. 6 of the songs were written by Matthew Borr, 3 by Carrie McFerrin, and 1 cover ("Ramblin on my Mind" by Robert Johnson). It was recorded and mastered at La Luna Studios by Ian Gorman, a preeminent engineer and producer in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A host of talented Michigan musicians contributed to the session work.

"Bottle Makes Three" made it to #2 on the WYCE "Hot Top Five" in November 2019! The album was nominated for three Michigan music "Jammie" Awards in February, 2020. Local Spins' John Sinkevics writes:
" Standout tracks “Dreamed a River,” “Kathlene,” “Freight Train” and “Four Wild Horses” have that magical quality of transporting listeners to another place and time in their mind’s eye — proof of the duo’s songcrafting finesse."

Matthew performs throughout the record, contributing to lead vocals, harmonies, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and MIDI synthesizer.

Matthew wrote and produced:
Kathlene
Shine
Dreamed a River
Rain and War
Freight Train
Four Wild Horses
